Fiasco Focus | KTZ
KTZ have never been backwards in coming forwards and they take another leap in expanding their palettes, textiles and prints beyond the heavy duty black and white, high impact motifs they’re legendary for.
Denim featured as did shades of camel, crimson and cobalt while alongside the religious inspired symbols there were flags, old world maps, bold black stripes in both block and patchwork formats.
The layering was precise – leggings beneath shorts, sleeves unzipped to reveal a concertina of fabrics, shorts peeking beneath skirts and flowing tunics – and the looks were, as ever, completed by knapsacks and caps in identical prints, the latter weighted with silver spikes and embellishments.
The desert, cities and clothing of the Middle East were brought to life in billowing ankle length shirts, colliding with the West via baseball lettering and pitcher stripes, while old world French Algerian military wear saw boxy shoulders, cape-like jackets and caps with neck shields.
Naturally it wouldn’t be KTZ without the signature eye popping pieces, this time, in keeping with the baseball theme, a leather catcher’s style mask gleaming and aggressively spiked and matching leather jackets.
The modern adventurer, the inner city explorer, the dark urban dweller; all vital components of this very thrilling design duo’s new creations.
